For those of you that want to know about VMPI, I sent an email to Alfred, at Valve, and this is the response

Hey Alfred

I was wondering if you might be able to shed some light on the VMPI Feature of the compile tools.

I have been looking at the source code, and it’s got nothing to go by, other than the text files, that the log complains about.

Can you please email me back with the format the text files go in, what files to put in them etc?

VPMI is our distributed compiling environment. It hasn't been released yet; you should not try to use it, Due to MYSQL Licences, and other issues that have not been addressed.
